On first inspection, todays DW(daily workout) doesn't sound bad, but that turned out to very false. It was pretty brutal. If you haven't done flying starts I highly recommend trying them. If you really give 100% you're gonna hit and break down some muscle groups you wouldn't think you'd even touch. The manmakers are named so for a reason, they hurt...a lot.
Workout Aug. 2nd
We have a guest coach, Kurt Mittman, visiting from another functional fitness gym coming in at 5:30. More importantly he's also a teammate of mine.
Warmup: 800m jog. lax ball on hips, shoulders, foam roll, dynamic stretch
Strength: press 5x5 50%,60%, 70%. All you have for the last two, gauge to failure on the last set. Keep that head neutral!
Conditioning:
5 rounds for time:
5 Turkish get ups 1.5 pood
10 KB SDHPs 1.5 pood
20 abmat situps
Cash out: 10 50lb slam ball, slams
Static stretch/ foam roll back
Keep the tshirt orders coming! I think were up to about 40! That's $400 for heroes in transition!
